Autobiography
My name is Nina Gibbs, I was born and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Graduating from high school earlier than my peers taught me to be able to adapt to environments that were new and thus, matured me quickly. Beginning college younger than everyone else allowed me to see opportunities from a new perspective and drove me to be apart of as many organizations as possible to ensure I was doing my part. The leadership roles that I had throughout my college career shaped me most significantly. I have a significant background in time management and organization. As a biology major, I held multiple leadership positions including Director of Social Enrichment for Alpha Delta Pi, Captain of the Cheerleading team, Secretary for the lector club, manager for the track and field team and secretary for the lector club. I also acted as a senator for the Student Government Association for two years. In this position, I was able to organize and carry out several initiatives such as creating a television channel for all student body announcements, a campus wide recycling campaign, and an Oxfam hunger banquet.
My roles at Duke and Yale University required a great deal of me as well. At Duke University, I worked closely with students to ensure their well-being and promote a healthy environment where I received above average reviews, not only from the students and their families, but my supervisors on site. At Yale University, I was required to work with the administrators and their advisees to ensure the success of the program. There, jumpstarted the use of technologies to foster effective communication between all parties involved.
My role at Enterprise Rent-A-Car enabled me to work closely with companies to develop new business and maintain current relationships. I learned to understand cost control, reading the companies P&L statement and understand what it takes to run a profitable business. All of this, whilst being responsible for driving sales and ensuring quality customer service. I have built a reputable personal brand for being dependable, efficient and excelling and all that is required of me. I was able to finish in the top half of the region, including a number 2 finish because of my relentless wok ethic and drive to be at my best.
During my role at Enterprise, it became clear to me that I excelled at project management. This realization drove me to pursue certifications in Project Management. Once completed, I was able to work on a multitube of projects spanning from software and tablet implementation to the rollout of a new SaaS application. These contract roles are what inevitably prepared me for my current role with FranDevCo as a Project Coordinator. Here, I am responsible for facilitating Launch and Check In Calls between internal teams and clients while overseeing all project documentation during project lifecycle. Additionally, I track project work against scope, deliverables and budget using project management software while acting as a liaison between clients and internal teams to create and execute action plans.
