Personal Mission Statement

Dr. Stephen Covey calls the personal mission statement one`s personal constitution. He says, "A mission statement is not something you write overnight. It takes deep introspection, careful analysis, thoughtful expression, and often many rewrites to produce it in final from. It may take you several weeks, or even months before you feel really comfortable with it..." (1989, p. 129). Here is mine:

My Personal Mission Statement

By Nina Gibbs

I will work hard and love harder, never forgetting my perfect balance.

I will make peace with every hardship.

I will learn a lesson in every trial.

I will be the light in even darkest of darkness.

I promise to encourage, but never enable.

I will challenge , but never push too hard.

I promise to continue bettering myself even when I see the world's worst.

And in everything, I promise to keep God first, never forgetting the instruction He left for me to follow.
